Educational planning can be key to securing a productive role in today’s work force. SAS helps Participants prepare for education by filling out applications together, checking out the college campus together, providing scholarship support and tutoring throughout the school year. In the area of employment support, women involved with SAS receive resume development help, references pertaining to their volunteer and work experience record at SAS, and financial support in attaining the necessary tools and work attire required for their field of employment.
The SAS Scholarship Fund was created to ensure that all SAS graduates have an opportunity to return to school without financing being a barrier to their success. Grants are awarded to any qualifying Participant from any level of SAS – EXIT Life-Skills Classroom, Job Shadowing, Work Experience and Follow-Care.
