The Cry of the Streets publication is created by the participants of the SAS program.
For Agencies working with at risk women and youth, and schools looking for speakers:
Shock Talks provide an opportunity for alumni and current participants who are strong in their recovery, to "give back" to the community. These talks are intended to "shock" youth into re-thinking their life choices, and to encourage them not to find themselves walking the dark road of street life. SAS Current and Past Participants endeavor to talk to youth groups at the Young Offender Centre, schools, and other interested groups who work with youth at risk.
Contact SAS to request a shock talk or make a referral: 403-237-8477.
Speaking Engagements - the SAS organization is active in the Calgary community explaining what SAS does and what participant's lives are like before, during and after our programs. If you would like to learn more about SAS's impact in the community please contact us:
