The Servants Anonymous Society of Calgary's [SAS] mission is to provide long-term programs, ongoing support, hope and wholeness to young women [with or without children] who are victims of, or are at risk of, sexual exploitation.
This annual event, supported by the Calgary Herald, brings the small community of SAS into the large community of Calgary, in a big way. Sponsored by the generous folks at the Crossroad Market on Blackfoot Trail, this spectacular community book drive and sale raised $150,000 for charity, of which SAS received a portion of the proceeds. Over the past six years, thousands of Calgarians donated their books and came out to support the sale. Some great collector’s editions were found and cherished by discriminating buyers.
